Help for Old iPhone Cam. For purchase issues, restore first — Apple manages In-App Purchases.

Restore purchases

  1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
  2. Open Old iPhone Cam.
  3. Use Restore Purchase from Settings or from the unlock / paywall screen.
  4. If prompted, sign in to your Apple ID. The app refreshes StoreKit entitlements after a successful sync.

If restore finds no purchase for that Apple ID, you will see a “no previous purchase” style message — that is not a crash. Network is required for the first purchase and for restore sync; already-unlocked devices can keep using the entitlement offline via StoreKit on-device records.

Refunds and billing disputes are handled through Apple (Report a Problem / App Store). After a refund, paid models lock again; photos already saved to Photos are not deleted.

FAQ

What does Old iPhone Cam do?

It captures with your modern iPhone camera and processes the still photo to resemble a historic iPhone look (resolution, field of view, color, noise, lens traits, JPEG, and era shutter UI). Live preview is an approximation; final capture applies the full pipeline.

Which models are free?

iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS are free. Other listed models require the one-time unlock-all purchase.

How much is unlock-all?

US$4.99 one-time non-consumable In-App Purchase (other regions follow App Store pricing). No subscription in v1.

Does the app need the internet?

Camera processing and saving do not require a network. Purchasing and restoring purchases require Apple’s StoreKit / App Store connectivity. The app itself has no accounts, analytics, or app-operated backend in v1.

Where are my photos stored?

When you save, images go to the Photos app with add-only permission. Processing is on-device. We do not upload your photos.

Is video supported?

No. v1 is photo only.

What iOS version do I need?

iOS 17.0 or later.

Which languages are supported?

English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

EXIF says iPhone 4 — is that real?

When the optional EXIF toggle is on (default), the app can write Make “Apple” and Model to the simulated camera name. This is a product feature for the vintage look, not a claim about your physical device. You can turn the toggle off.
